In 2009 CAS DataLoggers helped design, assemble and program the data acquisition and control solution for an Ohio manufacturer who needed a test bench setup for their directional control valves. The manufacturer contacted CAS DataLoggers to work with them to develop a unique test stand for this application. This multi-point test setup would require a highly accurate test DAQ and control system that could operate in real time, making calculations as each measurement was processed. CAS DataLoggers has just provided the Delphin vibration monitoring and analysis solution for a refinery relying on a gas turbine-driven generator to provide power for the facility. The generator has begun to develop vibrations in its shafts and bearings, causing fatigue failures. Technicians needed to setup condition monitoring of vibration signals of the engine’s bearings and shafts during operation, and also acquire process data from the turbine including temperature/pressure/flow rate/RPM process data.
